Last Tuesday’s Presidential Debate didn’t reach new heights for the Trump campaign, but it certainly solidified the already apparent landscape of the media, culture, and Democrat party as a whole. While multiple issues were brought to the table, it was made evident that one issue in particular brought out an unseen confidence in Vice President Kamala Harris. The Harris campaign has done anything but hide their radical support for abortion, however the Debate showcased that this issue is where Harris seems to thrive. And as the ABC moderators remained silent, they allowed Harris to lie vehemently about the protections children are afforded in multiple states across the country. The VP claimed that nowhere in America is abortion happening through all 9 months, when in fact there are 8 states where abortion is allowed until birth.
But if ABC’s anchors jumping to Harris’ aid wasn’t enough, her devout supporter Taylor Swift also took to Instagram to shower the current VP with her unwavering support only minutes after the Debate ended. Swift also praised Harris’ VP candidate Tim Walz, citing LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to choose as her reasoning for voting blue. It’s also worth noting that only weeks prior to this, NBA star Stephen Curry, who has publicly professed Christianity, also stated his support for Harris due to her stance on abortion. But these announcements come as no shock, especially after the Democratic National Convention played host to Planned Parenthood, who offered abortions through a mobile unit parked in front of the Chicago convention center.
It has become unabashedly clear that Harris, with the backing of Hollywood and the Democrat party, is out for blood. They have not only condoned, but celebrated the mass execution of innocent lives in this country while parading it under the guise of women’s rights. Voting for the Democrat party because of Taylor Swift, Stephen Curry, or any other celebrity is not “demure.” It’s disgraceful. Policies are what run a country. Policies are what directly affect our gas, groceries, home prices, national security, foreign affairs, and countless other issues. And while Harris seems unable to come up with any consistent policy to address the biggest problems plaguing our nation, she has wasted no time guaranteeing women the right to slaughter their children. So as you head to the polls this November, keep in mind what is truly at stake. It’s no longer about complex policies, all of which are still important, nor is it a battle between the Red and the Blue. It’s now a war waged against life.
David makes it clear in Psalms that we have been formed and known in the womb.
Psalm 139:13-16
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”
Jeremiah writes that we are known by our Creator before He fashioned us, before we were even a thought.
Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Whether in a petri dish, or in our mothers womb, each of us is of immeasurable value to God. As Christians, we not only stand for the lives of the unborn, but the lives of mothers and the politicians that are lost and depraved by sin. We have the ability to use our voices both to inform and to pray that hearts and minds would turn to the author and sustainer of life before it’s too late.
